Magnetic susceptibility measurements of cytochrome c peroxidase and its complexes.
A highly purified preparation of cytochrome c peroxidase was prepared by reconstituting the enzyme from the apoprotein and protohemin. Paramagnetic susceptibilities of the enzyme and of its complexes with cyanide, azide, cyanate, and fluoride were measured at temperatures from 77” K to 273” K. The susceptibilities of the cyanide and fluoride complexes obeyed Curie’s law over the entire temperat...
متن کاملElectron transfer complexes of cytochrome c peroxidase from Paracoccus denitrificans containing more than one cytochrome.
According to the model proposed in previous papers [Pettigrew, G. W., Prazeres, S., Costa, C., Palma, N., Krippahl, L., and Moura, J. J. (1999) The structure of an electron-transfer complex containing a cytochrome c and a peroxidase, J. Biol. Chem. 274, 11383-11389; Pettigrew, G. W., Goodhew, C. متن کاملTandem mass spectrometry of protein-protein complexes: cytochrome c-cytochrome b5.
An improved method to interpret triple quadrupole MS/MS experiments of complexes of large ions is presented and applied to a study of the complex formed by the proteins cytochrome c and cytochrome b5. Modeling of the activation and dissociation process shows that most of the reaction occurs near the collision cell exit where ions have the highest internal energies. Experiments at different coll...
متن کاملChemical consequences of pyrazole orientation in Ru(II) complexes of unsymmetric quinoline-pyrazole ligands.
A series of homoleptic Ru(II) complexes including the tris-bidentate complexes of a new bidentate ligand 8-(1-pyrazol)-quinoline (Q1Pz) and bidentate 8-(3-pyrazol)-quinoline (Q3PzH), as well as the bis-tridentate complex of bis(quinolinyl)-1,3-pyrazole (DQPz) was studied. Together these complexes explore the orientation of the pyrazole relative to the quinoline. By examining the complexes struc...
متن کاملComplexes of $C$-projective modules
Inspired by a recent work of Buchweitz and Flenner, we show that, for a semidualizing bimodule $C$, $C$--perfect complexes have the ability to detect when a ring is strongly regular. It is shown that there exists a class of modules which admit minimal resolutions of $C$--projective modules.
